HAIR BRAINED SCHEME

I'm sure that many of you viewers at home have something perfect in mind for mothers day, or if you're like me you are scrambling at the last minute to put something together. Today , as I was on a scavenger hunt for the perfect gift for my mother I ended up going on a 10 o'clock fabric run with Jose and Laura. We had to travel to the Wal-Mart in Santa Fe Springs which is a few towns away because we didn't want to get murdered at the one on Crenshaw.Fabric was a success but alas, still no present.

So, whether you have your ish together or you are a scrambled egg like me just make sure you do something nice for Mom on mothers day. Even if it's a handmade card. Mom's dig that shit.
I'll let you know what I decide on.

xoxo,
Matt

HI MOM.

While having a heart-to-heart with Al the other day we were scheming about all of the Margiela-esque pieces we could come up with in the coming weeks. I mean, in this economy one must learn to be resourceful. This hairy bracelet was one of Alison's ideas. Guess what it it is supposed to be used for? BFF Bracelet anyone? He-lloooo. I'm in love.
How sexy is this little silk number? It just makes me feel as if I've "slipping into something a little more comfortable". If you catch my drift. The hairy BFF bracelet really is just the big fat cherry on top. BON APPÉTIT!

AY CARAMBA!

You know what day it is.
Time to throw on that gold chain, Sharpie in those eyebrows, and button up that top button. My Cinco de Mayo began with an adventure to find the perfect latina lovin' t-shirt. After that, Tucker and I dined on Mexican cuisine, of course.

circle sunnies. red buffalo plaid flannel. Virgin Mary  t-shirt.
fake versace gold chain. tsubi jeans. fringe open toe boots.

We even went so far as to make a stop at a nearby Planned Parenthood.
The night was spent drinking tequilla shots, eating at street corner taco stands, and running into this guy wearing an amaaaaazing T.

Te amo! Adios amigos!

NEON LIGHTS

Tonight I went to see the groundbreaking performance of Matthew McConaughey in his new hit flick at the movies with Tucker.  An outfit combining both warmth and comfort was a must.

SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY

"Launched in tandem with Gareth Pugh's show during Paris Fashion Week, this film created in collaboration with Ruth Hogben, showcases the designer's Autumn/Winter 2009collection." -SHOWstudio

A truly brilliant film, this is perfect to view on a rainy day such as this.
It left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, and maybe a bit scared too.
Watch it with the lights off and the volume up for the full mind blowing effect.

I am just in love.

CHAIN MAIL

Who doesn't love late night gas station photo shoots?

I have to just say, I'm really happy with the way these jeans turned out.
It only took me about 10 minutes and a good pair of shears to get them slashed just right. I then threw them in the wash to further deconstruct them and voila!

Also, I was so excited to find this shirt on one of my recent thrifting trips.
It remeinds me of the mesh armour worn in the 13th century, also know as chain mail.
