I am obviously taking this whole "hair project" very, very seriously.

Tonight's attire was just bursting with firsts! ...The first time to wear this pearl dress gifted to me on my birthday last year from Tuck. (I converted it into a top by rolling up the bottom into a circular ring around my waist. Yeah, basically like a clothing version of a muffin top. Cute!) ...The first time to wear this intense belt that I bought on a recent trip to Paris. ...The first time to wear blond hair cascading down from my shoulder.

NOT SO CASUAL FRIDAY

Today I went to a beauty supply store and bought three bags of hair extensions in black, light brown, and platinum blond.Plan "ATTACH HAIR TO EVERYTHING" is officially in full effect. One of my first ideas was to sew wefts of hair onto a garment's existing sleeves, creating a new beautifully ugly hair sleeve. My creative juices are really flowing, so stay tuned for more hairy productions to come to a theatre near you. This creation was a big hit at dinner with friends. At one point I even dangled the flowing locks attached to my sleeve above the salad I was eating and then pretended to call over our waiter to receive a discount on the meal. Gross and thrifty! The loft party I attended later in the evening included a sick DJ and packed dance floor, and let me just say, dancing with these hair sleeves was really somethin' else. A must try for all. I even did a cute shoulder twitch, very reminiscent of the moves in the infamous Margiela "Wig-Coat" video.  All in all I was quite satisfied with my first hair raising outfit and the mixed reactions I received from it, ranging from frightened to nauseated. Yay! I love making people nauseous!
